PEAK is seeking a Manager for our Client in Connecticut.

 

Overview

Summary:  

Responsible for managing, planning, coordinating, and directing a quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Directs, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures and progress reports, in order to inform management of current status or work activities.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.
  • May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
  • Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
  • May investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Supports and creates effective teams, units, and environments.
  • Impacts and promotes organizational strategy and vision.
  • Creates linkages for employees on how they impact business strategy.
  • Completes objectives through supervisors or managers or senior exempt specialists who have significant latitude.
  • May set direction for a major, multi-functional unit or department.
  • Responsible for unit/department for budget, schedules and planning.
  • Understands and meets or exceeds quality standards; seeks to minimize error rate.
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.
  • Effectively gives and receives feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field plus 5 years related work experience or 10 years related work experience. 

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Performs detail-oriented tasks utilizing high language skills and high math skills.
  • Employs high written and oral communication skills.
  • Requires extensive expertise of knowledge in the specified area.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
